Black Pearls Boba Stool

Ex-Lab Black Pearls Boba Stool (BPBS)

Boba milk tea has become a global phenomenon. You can either purchase boba milk tea prepared from stalls or you can also easily make your own at home by buying raw bobas, boiling them, adding milk, honey and sugar. Surprisingly bobas will harden into a chunk of black plastic balls when left to dry becoming a hard durable, yet biodegradable material that could be used for a variety of purposes, such as furniture. This stool is created using bobas combined with bioplastic substances and supported by cotton fibre.

The whole making process requires several steps that include boiling the ingredients, layering, shaping, drying, and coating. The final stool is covered with a shiny black pearl texture, while on the inside is a rough dark-brown coloured texture from crushed bobas.
